Company F 50th Regiment Tennessee
Civil War Confederate
November 27, 1840 - December 26, 1863
James enlisted in the 50th Regiment Tennessee, Company F, at Ft. Donelson on 11/10/1861. He was diagnosed with "dropsy due to cardiac disease" and discharged on Feb 18, 1863. His widow, Lucy Dotson Killebrew, remarried to Isaac Killebrew., son of Joshua & Virginia Killebrew.
His remains were removed from the original burial site to Fairview (aka Red Top) when Camp Campbell (now Ft. Campbell) took control of the land for a military installation.
