DAYTON, TN - Charles Randall Burton, 58, died Thursday, July 8, 2010, at his residence.
A lifelong resident of Rhea County, and of the baptist faith. He was a member to the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #5 for 40 years.
His children would like him to be best remembered by always sharing his love and compassion. He always found his own way of teaching all of us lifes very important lessons. We will always remember him as a strong, independent, caring, and most of all a loving man.
We miss him greatly but we know he is suffering no more and we will meet him again. Love you forever, your loving wife Connie, Chad, Holly, Cameron, Harper (Granddaughter) and future son- in -law Stephen. We love you Papaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Marie Burton; brother, Billy Burton.
Survivors: wife, Connie Shipley; three children Chad Burton, Holly Burton and Cameron Burton all of Dayton; brother, Tommy (Lessie) Burton of Port Orange, Fla.; granddaughter, Harper Burton; several nieces and nephew.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.
Burial in Lake Drive Cemetery in Sale Creek.
