Together Forever

Charlie Page Horton, 43, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on March 16, 2019, after 3 ½ years “LIVING” with AML leukemia.
In a life that was cut too short, Charlie enjoyed competing in Spartan Races, running with friends, snuggling with his cats, and traveling as often as possible. Charlie was able to enjoy a cruise and his last Spartan Race in his last year of life. He lived each day to the fullest and never met a stranger. He was blessed with countless friends and a loving family. Charlie loved to inspire and help other people live their best life. Charlie is quoted as saying, “You don’t lose to cancer by dying, you BEAT cancer by how you live your life.” Charlie worked at Roadtec in Chattanooga for a decade and thought of them as a second family. He was a dedicated, faithful, compassionate husband, son, step-father and friend.
Charlie is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Faye Horton and sister, Francie Lynn Horton. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Tammy, step-daughter, Sydney of Soddy Daisy and father, Charles Horton of Winchester, Tn.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 19th at Hamilton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Varner-Grant Cemetery on Mowbray Mountain.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 18th and on Tuesday, March 19th from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
