Charles B. Lawson, 76, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at his home. He was a member of Sequoyah Church of God. Charles owned his own auto repair shop in Soddy-Daisy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and preceded in death by his parents Alva and Carrie Lawson; brothers, Lynell and Herman Lawson and a sister, Lonnet Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Lawson; sons, Chuck Lawson, Charles Lawson, Jr. and Gerald (Becky) Lawson; brothers, Cecil Lawson, George Lawson and Jimmie Lawson; sisters, Frances Bain and Hazel Freeman; 4 grandchildren, Lance Lawson, Chelsea Lawson, Christopher Lawson and Jacobb Lawson.
Services will be Friday, September 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Lindsey and Rev. Tommy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Union Fork Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is Thursday from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Charles Lawson Memorial Fund at the First Tennessee Bank in Soddy-Daisy.
