Wallace Melvin "Buddy" Hodges, 56, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2004, at a local hospital.
Buddy had been a resident of Soddy-Daisy his entire life. Buddy was also a Vietnam veteran and was given the Purple Heart in 1967.
He was preceded in death by father, Charles Melvin Hodges.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Hodges; daughter, Holly Renee Hodges; son, Troy David Alton; mother, Dorothy May Hodges; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Diane and Johnny Clayton and Elizabeth and Tommy Hickman; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Allen and Betty Hodges, Doug and Shelby Hodges, Johnny and Shelia Hodges and Randy and Karen Hodges; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.
Interment will follow in East Soddy Church of God Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 2-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
