DAYTON - Walter Lee Snyder Jr., 65, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006, at his home.

He was a life long resident of Rhea County.

He was the son of the late Walter Lee and Nannie Snyder Sr., of Mowbrary Mountain.

He was the former owner of Dayton Roofing Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Marion Walter Snyder.

Survived by his wife of 20 years, Charlene Sneed Snyder; son, Steven Bruce Snyder; two daughters, Patricia Sneed, all of Dayton, and Renee Dopierala, of San Antonio, Texas; two stepdaughters, Debbie Rigsby, of Pikeville, Tenn., and Sherry Perry, of Dayton; two brothers, Willard Snyder, of Soddy-Daisy, and James Snyder, of Hixson; sister, Mabelle Roberts, of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Derek Peavyhouse, Stephanie Snyder, Justin Perry, Johnny Herd Jr., Samantha Rigsby, Tabitha Rigsby, Summer Payne, and Ethan Wagner; several greatgrandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison with the Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Soddy-Daisy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Memorial Cancer Center in Chattanooga, for Walter Lee Snyder Jr.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today.
