Obit:
Robert Taylor Sholtz, Sr., 76, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Sholtz was a retired roofer working for ABC Sheet Metal. He loved working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Katherine Smith Sholtz and siblings, James Sholtz, Dorothy Cooper, Betty Sykes and Nettie Sholtz.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Ruth Sholtz; son, Robert Taylor Sholtz, Jr.; daughters, Regina Sue Hudson; sisters, Clara Pritchett and Catherine Crosswhite; grandchildren, Gina Marie Hudson, Shelby Taylor Sholtz and Daniel Dwayne Hudson; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wade Miller, Rev. Troy Simmons and Rev. William Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery with Travis Hall, Frank Miller, Randy Lewis, Gregory Lewis, Rodney Eustice and Tim Smith serving as pallbearers. Visitation is Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
