Marshall W. Barbee, 62, died on Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in Memorial Hospital after struggling since Aug. 16, 2004, to recover from injuries in a heavy equipment accident at work.
He was born Dec. 11, 1942, in Hamilton County and was a resident of Soddy-Daisy all his life.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle Trueblood Barbee and Virgil Barbee; sisters, Bertha May and Sally Burnette; and brothers, Lewis Barbee and Fred Barbee.
He is survived by one son, Stephen M. Barbee and his wife Julia McClure Barbee; and one granddaughter, Sommer Barbee, who would like to express gratitude to friends and family members who have stood with them through his struggle.
Complete arrangements will be announced by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy.
