Robert Jason Hartman, 42, of Knoxville, died on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, in a Chattanooga hospital.

Mr. Hartman was a member of Hixson First Baptist Church and had sung in the Youth Choir. He was a graduate from Tennessee Technological University in 1987 with a BS degree in Computer Science. He worked in the computer department at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oba and Cleo Green of Hixson, Tn., Roy and Miriam Hartman of Tiftonia, Tn., and cousin, James Oliver Adkerson Jr. of Hixson.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Green Hartman and father, Robert Jacob Hartman; one brother, Todd Eugene Hartman; one sister, Valerie Hartman; one niece; aunt, Joyce Green Adkerson; uncle, James Oliver Adkerson Sr.; cousins, Connie Adkerson Parsley, Stanley Adkerson and Steven Harvey; uncle and aunt, William (Bill) and Clarice Hartman; and cousin, Cynthia Hartman.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-0 p.m.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home in Soddy-Daisy with James Oliver Adkerson Sr. to officiate. Music will be provided by Danny Hawkins and Ronnie Alley.
Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery on Moses Road in Hixson.
Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, Soddy-Daisy, is in charge of the arrangements.
