Jessie Ashburn 1787-1860
This tent grave is in the Historic Ashburn Cemetery in Overton County, TN. This cemetery is off Hwy 84 - GPS Coordinates: 36.2855560, -85.3088890. There is currently no roadside marker; hopefully soon. The cemetery was near destruction in 2020 - we now have a fence to protect the graves from the livestock (3,000 lb bulls) thay have been causing destruction. The gate may be locked as you pull into the site - just another problem that should not be a problem. If you can get through the gate, the cemetery if directly to the right on the hill. The land belongs to a Member of the Tennessee House of Representatives.
