Boaz W Butcher was born between 1840-1842. He enlisted in the Civil War in 1863 and drew a pension . He was in Macon County in 1900 living with a wife, Elizabeth for 15 years. His brother, Joshua was a border next door with Elijah Snider and his wife Lillie Hargis Snider. Their mother was Susan Butcher, last found in DeKalb Co., Tn in 1860.
