When Hardiman Defrance Deeson was born on December 22, 1871, in Shelby, Tennessee, his father, Henry, was 33 and his mother, Alice, was 28. He had four brothers and three sisters. He died on January 6, 1937, in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 65.
