Billy Wayne Cooper, 68, of Covington, passed away on Friday, October 3 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 6 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Cooper is survived by six daughters, Catrina Bland, Lakeeshala Bland, and Sharon Robinson of Covington, Amanda Lynn Cooper of Springdale, AR, Carunda Bland of Memphis, and Comma Cole of Ripley, TN. He is also survived by three brothers, J.W. Cooper of Drummonds, H.C. Cooper of Reelfoot, and Kenneth Cooper of Covington. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Cooper, his parents Grover Cleveland and Lillian Edith Elzey Cooper, sisters Alma Jean Rone and Mildred Redding, and brothers Corble L., William, Lavon, and Maurice Cooper. Mr. Cooper leaves behind thirteen grandchildren.
