Dewey Barber, 60, CPA with Whitehorn Tankersley where he was a partner, passed away Sunday, December 9 at Baptist Hospital Memphis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11 at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 10 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Barber was a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Covington, a member of the Covington Lions Club and also an Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Barber, two sons, Todd Barber (Lisa) of Lakeland and Trey Barber of Memphis; two brothers, Glen Cotharp of Iuka, MS and Mike Barber of Atlanta, GA and two grandchildren, Wesley Barber and Riley Barber.
