March 20, 1930 - August 6, 2005
Earsel Jerry "Buddy" Bowden, Jr., 75, retired employee of Memphis Light, Gas and Water, died Saturday at his home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Covington with interment to follow in the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Covington. Rosary Services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the funeral home. Mr. Bowden, the husband of Virginia Gunter Bowden, also leaves two daughters, Donna McClarin of Atoka and Debra Bowden of Memphis; two sons, Mike Bowden of Senatobia, MS and Dale Bowden of Bartlett; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
