Lester Vandiver, 83, of Covington, retired laborer with Jones Mfg. Company, passed away on Monday, May 5 at Baptist Hospital Tipton. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7 at the Covington Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 6 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. He is survived by four daughters, Darlene Solley of Galloway, Connie Wysocki of Indiana, Tammy Elzie of Florida, Judy Hamilton of Munford; one son, Jerry Vandiver of Brighton and two brothers, Cortis Vandiver of Jackson and Raymond Vandiver of Bemis.
