November 17, 1827 - October 15, 1895
Alfred's first wife was Rebecca Ann Childress, daughter of William Hill and Delina Wilson. She was born October 10, 1836 and died February 11, 1866. They were parents of John Hill March, born February 9, 1860 and died October 8, 1873 after being dragged in harness of a runaway mule.
Alfred's second wife was Siletha "Sallie" Cathey March, both buried here. Alfred and Sallie's marriage was 24 November 1868 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. Alfred and Sallie were parents of John Hill March and Mary Louvenia March, both buried here. No markers, other than possibly field stones, were placed for either either Alfred or Sallie.
