Swaney Slave (African American) Cemetery
Sumner County,
Tennessee

Located 3 2/10 miles south of Castalian springs on Corum Hill Road. The Cemetery is on boundary line between property of Alonzo Apple and Mary W & Maurice Pendarvis. It is 5/10 mile east of the road with field stones from markers. Relatives of Aunt Millie and Uncle Jim Tolliver are buried here according to Mary Woodrow Pendarvis. These are said to be slaves of John Lee Swaney.
