Born February 26th, 1844 in Ashtabula County Ohio. The son of Harrison (Harris)and Esther Sessions Harvey, both are buried in Bates Cemetery, Ashtabula County, Ohio. There is a symbolic headstone for Byron in Bates as well.
His brother Alvin Jackson Harvey (1842 - 1919)((buried Saybrook Cemetery, Ashtabula County Ohio) was assigned to the same unit.
