1825 - December 12, 1863
This is a memorial to Thomas C Jerrolds. Settled on Turkey Creek in 1846. Joined Confederate Army in 1863. While home on leave he was captured by Union Forces in Oct 1863. He died of smallpox on Dec. 12, 1863 in a P.O.W. Camp at Alton IL. He was buried there in an unmarked grave.
