Dorman Lee Hendricks, 77, of Hixson, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, in a local health care facility. He was of the Church of God faith and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War. Mr. Hendricks retired as a supervisor in 1990 from the Roper Corporation after 35 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elliot and Maude Hendricks; brother, Jack Hendricks; sister, Swanee Richey; son, Dennis Hendricks and daughter, Cindy K. Frizzell.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mary Ruth Raulston Hendricks; son, Kenny (Kim) Hendricks, of Hixson; brother, Ed (Junia) Hendricks, of Hixson; granddaughter, Jenny (Scott) Holloway, of SoddyDaisy and great-grandchildren, Abbie and Nate Holloway, of Soddy-Daisy, along with several nieces nephews.
Services will be today, Jan. 16, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Wallace Angel officiating. Burial will follow at Dividing Ridge Church of God Cemetery.
