Raymond E. Ellis “Pete” 69 of Chattanooga passed away Monday September 21, 2015 in a local nursing facility. Mr. Ellis was a avid fisherman and he liked to work on his old cars and trucks. He also was a Bluegrass music fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Richmond and Nancy Ellis, brothers, Albert Ellis, Terry Lowe and a sister Essie Watts.
He is survived by his daughters; Tonya (Brian) Lewis, Nancy (Darren) Kring and Joy Whiting. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Adam and Kayla Lewis, Dakota Ellis, Anthony and Sydney Kring, and Kristin and Kelsy Whiting, also 6 great grandchildren; Micah Wright, Ivan Ross, Felix, Jaxon, Carter, and Pax Ellis.
He also is survived by a brother Jerry (Judy) Ellis and a sister Helen McCloud and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday September 24, 2015 from 1-3 pm and 5-8 pm at Heritage Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel.
Funeral service will held Friday September 25, 2015 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Blackmon officiating. Interment will be private.
