Ronald "Ronnie" Earl Gilbert, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015. He was a resident of the Chattanooga area most of life and was of the Baptist faith. Ronnie worked for the Chattanooga Fire Department for more than 17 years and was an avid outdoorsman. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Beulah Gilbert; and sister Linda Duncan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charlene Gilbert, of Chattanooga; children, Ronnie (Stephanie) Gilbert Jr. of South Pittsburgh, Tenn. Tabitha Colston, of Chattanooga, Caleb (Patti) Gilbert of Chattanooga, Terry (Chris ty) Gilbert, of Chattanooga Kimberly (Daniel) Lewis, of Hixson, Tenn., Kelly Moon of Chattanooga; sisters, Billie Bankston, of Rossville, Ga. Janice Lewis, of Sale Creek Tenn., Joyce Lewis, of Sale Creek, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Camrin, Chloe, Calynn Clara, Dylan, Sarah, Mason Isaiah and Caitlyn. Family will receive friends today, June 14, 2015, from 2-8 p.m. with a small service to follow, Pastor Eric Greeson officiating. Burial will be private.
