James “Jimmy” Tallent Sr., 59, of Graysville, died on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Rhea Medical Center.
A longtime resident of Rhea County, he was of the Church of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Max Tallent Sr.; and brother, Max Tallent Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Terry Tallent, Spring City, Tn.; mother, Elizabeth (Charles) Kaylor, Dayton, Tn.; five children, James Howard Tallent Jr., Janet Miles, and Tina Everett, all of Graysville, Scott Tallent and Steven Smart, both of Dayton; four brothers, George and Bo Kaylor, of Dayton, Charles Kaylor, Graysville, Randy Kaylor, Hixson; two sisters, Maxine Creasman, Graysville, Sissy Swanner, Dayton; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Monday in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Carroll officiating. Interment in Shelton Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. on Sunday.
