Carlos Dean Burns, 52, of Hixson, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in a local hospital.
Mr. Burns was a member of Union Fork Baptist Church and also a member of the Millwright Local 654.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Dean Burns; and father, Buford Oliver Burns.
Survivors include a daughter, Stacey A. Burns of Hixson; three grandchildren, Amber, Brandon and Cassie; mother, Marie Smith Burns; brother, Gary Burns of Hixson; sisters, Brenda Dickson of Graysville, Glenda Morgan of Hixson and Sandra Jeffcote of Hixson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Moreland and Rev. Harold Ray officiating.
Interment will follow the service in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. on Wednesday and then for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Highway 153.
