Foster Hixson Cemetery, located at the end of Foster Hixson Cemetery Road in Hixson, Tenn., is a family cemetery for descendants of Ephraim Foster Hixson, one of the founding pioneers of the Hixson area.
Ephriam Foster Hixson donated the land in 1915. The first burial was that of Alton C. Hixson, son of David S. and Isabell Pendergrass Hixson. The cemetery is beautifully maintained.
The cemetery is surrounded by chain link fence topped with barbed wire (I believe to keep the deer out). Drive to the end of Foster Hixson Cemetery Road. Then veer to the left onto the rock parking spot.
