George Edward "Fireball" Rogers, 81, died on Tuesday, November 19, 2013.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Hixson Masonic Lodge #727. He was a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Alhambra Shrine. George loved NASCAR racing, and watching baseball games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Frank Rogers, sister, Betty Mae and brother, William (Bill) Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
There will be no services for George. Burial will be in the Schneitman Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga and the other care givers for their kind and compassionate care during the illness of George.
Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
