Obit: Charles B. Moore, Jr., 90, died on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born November 12, 1925 in Bristol, Tennessee, the only child of Stella St. John Moore and Charles B. Moore, Sr.

He attended Bristol, Tennessee Public Schools, graduating from Tennessee High School in the class of 1944. He entered V.P.I. and graduated in the class of 1948. While at Tech, he was a member of the Cotillion Club, Honor Court, Student Government, Scabbard and Blade Honor Society and other student groups.

Returning to Bristol, he was associated with his father at Interstate Hardware Company. Later he joined Inter-Mountain Telephone Company and also was employed for thirty-five years in the telecommunication industry with I.T.T, Stromberg Carlson and Northern Telecom. He retired as Regional Sales Manager for Power and Telephone Supply Company.

He was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church in Bristol, serving there as Deacon, Elder, Assistant Treasurer, and Sunday School Teacher.

He was Vice President of the Noon Lions Club of Bristol and President of the Evening Lions Club of Bristol.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.til 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, 701 Florida Avenue, Bristol, TN 37620. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Welch officiating.
