Our beloved, William L. Jones, went to be with The Lord on April 17, 2018. He leaves his wife, Helen; daughter, Susan Walker (Sam); granddaughter, Mende Noffsinger (Joseph); grandsons, Patterson and Palmer Jones; great-granddaughters, Sailor and Sadie. He was preceded in death by his dear son, Richard Jones (Cindy). Bill was a Baptist minister, then was an English teacher with Shelby County Schools for 30 years. His first love was our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. His second "first love" was his cherished wife, Helen. Everyone who knew Bill loved him, as he was generous, faithful, funny and so caring of others. He was a great blessing to his family and all who knew him. Bill was an active member of Ellendale Baptist Church.

Visitation is on Friday, April 20, from 6-8 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at Ellendale Baptist Church, 3861 Broadway Road, Bartlett, TN. Burial will take place at 2 p.m. at Cordova Cemetery, 1071 North Sanga Road, Cordova, TN. Online condolences can be made at www.familyfuneralmemphis.com
