Herb Wenning, 75, of Covington, TN retired customer service representative with Quebecor World, passed away Saturday, August 11 at Baptist Hospital-Tipton in Covington. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 16 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where he was a communicant. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15 at the Covington Funeral Home with a rosary to begin at 6 p.m. Mr. Wenning was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a Purple Heart Recipient, and after retirement, worked part time at Piggly Wiggly as well as Naifeh?s Food Rite in Covington. He is survived by his wife, Martha Wenning; four daughters, Donna Meyer of Greentown, IN, Anita McLean of Salem, IL, Anne Delashmit of Covington and Chris Martin of Mason; one son, Bryan Wenning of Lafayette, IN; two sisters, Lucille Rethlake of Kokomo, IN and JoAn Koors of Greensburg, IN; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Olga Wenning and one sister, Lorraine Bickle. The family request that any memorials be made to the St. Theresa of Avila School, 190 N. Ohio Ave., Salem, IL 62881.
