This cemetery is on private land and land owner permission is required for any visit.
This cemetery is in a remote location behind the homestead of Micajah McElroy, one of the earliest settlers in Lincoln County. Micajah built the first courthouse in Fayetteville and his craftsmanship is apparent in the house. Although his burial is reported to be in the cemetery, no marker was found. The cemetery is overgrown with privet making stones difficult to find. In addition to engraved markers, there are many graves marked only by fieldstones. Markers vary from very fine to engraved concrete. One marker had flaked to the point of loss of any identifying data. Field markers are interspersed with engraved markers making overall organization of the cemetery uncertain.
