Mrs. Martha Kuhlman Wickham, 708 N. Third, mother of five small children, died at 2:20 a.m. today at John Gaston Hospital. She was 30. A son, Gus Victor, was born last Saturday to Mr. and Mrs. Wickham at their home. Mrs. Wickham suffering from blood poisoning was taken to the hospital Tuesday.
She was born and reared in Memphis and was the wife of Lawrence Wickham, WPA worker and World War veteran.
She leaves her husband, her children, the oldest of whom is 11, Lawrence Jr., Willodene Vivian, Martha Jane, Raymond Brown, and Gus Victor; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Kuhlman of Raleigh and Mrs. Louise Westphal of Chicago, and two brothers, Millard and Marvin Kuhlman of Raleigh.
Services conducted by Rev. J.P. Neel, will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Baptist Church at Egypt, Tenn. Burial will be in the Egypt Cemetery. Spencer-Sturla Funeral Home is in charge.
