Ronald Eugene Huttenstine, 62, of Como, Tenn., died Nov. 14, 2003, at the Veterans Hospital, Nashville, Tenn. Services were Sunday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, Paris, Tenn. Don Malone officiated. Burial was in Olive Branch Cemetery near Cottage Grove, Tenn. His wife, the former Ramona Farmer, survives. They were married Feb. 7, 1964.

Born Nov. 25, 1940, in Aledo, he was a son of Mildred Stevens Huttenstine Harris, Aledo, and the late Walter Huttenstine.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, retiring after 20 years. He served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam; the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C.; and the 123rd Division at Fort Stewart, Ga.

He was a member of Thompson Creek Baptist Church, Como.

In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves a stepdaughter, Kathy Powers, Walnut Creek, Calif; stepsons, Ted Kirkland, Como, and Bill Kirkland, Cottage Grove; brothers, Tony Huttenstine, Queen City, Mo., Terry Huttenstine, Laurenburg, N.C., and Issac ``Ike'' Long, Aledo; sister, Beverly Huttenstine Carter, Monmouth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and a grandchild.
