Marion served his time with 10th TN INF in Nashville as a guard. One paper said he was guarding a bank in downtown Nashville. M. C. also served with Polk's Battery TN LT. Artillery Confed. Captured and served time at Camp Morton. Exchanged at Vicksburg, MS. Captured again at Pocahontas TN on 14 Mar 1863 after being cut off from his unit, Neely's 14 CAV. Co A
