November 23, 1846 - April 4, 1898
Bettie was the first wife of Jesse R Gunn. She and Jesse married September 21, 1865 in Coffee county and had Beulah, J. E., T. W., M. E., Willie and Albert Sidney. Bettie passed away shortly after the birth of Albert. In 1894 her husband married into the Sheid Tennessee pioneer family and the children were raised on the Sheid homestead. Bettie is buried by her husband's parents, Thomas L and Sarah A Gunn.
