Ellen Beatrice Dingus BRISTOL, Va. Ellen Beatrice Dingus, age 76, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 at Johnston Memorial Hosptial in Abingdon, Va. She was born Oct. 1, 1933, to the late Gilbert and Millie Salyer. She had lived in the Bristol area all of her life and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Dingus; two sons, James and Jeff Dingus; grandson, Joshua Dingus; and son-in-law, William Shepherd. Survivors: daughters, Patricia Dingus, Wilma Shephard, Betty Rowe and husband, Thomas; sister, Althea Dickenson; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Richard Epperson Jr.; grandchildren, Scott, Timmy and David Gorley, Greg and Brad Rouse, Nicholas and Christopher Rowe, Tyson and Jeffrey, and Christin Dingus; nine great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kim Dingus Nunley; and special pet, Peyton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, from the Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Fritz officiating. Entombment will follow in Glenwood Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Belle Meadows Baptist Church, TN Campus, 1317 Weaver Pike, Bristol, TN 37620.
