A homegoing for Peggy Marie Denton Simons, loving wife of William “Bill” W. Simons, graduated from this life into the arms of Jesus early Tuesday morning, April 15, 2008 after a long illness. She was born in Bristol, TN, she was the daughter of the late Mollie P. Tester and Benjamin Trigg Denton. She was a 1955 graduate of Bluff City High School and worked for Raytheon Co. from 1964 to 1985. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Shelia Marie Simons Gose.

Survivors include:
Loving husband of 51 years: William “Bill” W. Simons
Daughter: Jacqueline Gail Simons Kelley and husband Lloyd Ray Kelley of Irmo, SC
Granddaughter: Kristan Oliver Mock and husband Karl T. Mock
Son-in-law: Robert “Bob” C. Gose of Blountville, TN
Great-Granddaughters: Ashlynne Brooke Mock and Alexandria Marie Mock of Bluff City, TN
Brother: Ronald W. Denton and wife Diane
7 Nieces, 14 Nephews and several great-nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 18, 2008 at 7:30 PM in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Davis and Dr. Clay Austin officiating. The entombment will be held Saturday at 1:00 PM in Glenwood Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-7:15 PM prior to the service.
