George Ware, 63, of Bristol, Tennessee, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 10, 2012 after a lengthy illness.

He was a son of the late Earl Anthony Ware and Christabelle Ware. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Cash Beverly.

A resident of Bristol, George was active in the Avoca community for 40 years. He was President of the Avoca Little League and an active member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church and choir. He was a loving husband, father and Papaw.

George is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janet Ware; daughters, Mandi Ware of Bristol, TN, Ashley Beverly and husband Chadd of Bluff City, TN; son, Brandon Ware and wife Heidi of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Elijah and Lily Ware, Alyssa and Georgia-Kate Beverly; and brother, Tony Ware and wife Betty; loving father and mother-in-law Carl and Mary Clark and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 6:45 pm, Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Brother Phil Whitaker and Brother Adam Sells officiating.

The committal service and entombment will be held at 11 am, Friday, September 14, 2012 in Glenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gene Kistner, Glen Goad, Fred Pendergrass, Glenn Osborne, Mark Blevins and David Clark. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steven Woodie, Wally Elliott and the crew of the Ambulance Service of Bristol, TN.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Robert Blanton, Dr. Elvira Loria, Dr. Doug Green, the staff at Bristol Wellmont Regional Medical and Dialysis Center and nurses; caregivers, Priscilla Badgett, Kim Brummett and Pam Taylor for their care and compassion.
