Betty Jane Fleming Foster, age 82, of Bristol, TN passed away on September 3, 2013 at the Wellmont Hospice House. She was born Bristol a daughter to the late Roy F. and Florence Shell Fleming. Mrs. Foster was a former employee of H.P. King and worked as an educational assistant in Special Education for the Bristol, TN School System for 24 years. She also volunteered for many years at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Betty loved dancing and was a Dandeliners at the Slater Center. She was a member of South Bristol United Methodist Church. Along with her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Herman Foster and a brother Ted Fleming.
Survivors include: Children – Debbie Sue Darnell and husband Steve, Lesa Julane Maines and husband Doug, Mark Foster and wife Karen
Grandchildren – Amanda White and husband Chris, Morgan Darnell, Daniel Morris, Will Morris, Jonathan Foster, Brennan Foster, Summer Price and husband Michael, Sarah Harris and husband Anthony, Anthony Douglas Maines and wife Lisa, Dalton Maines
Siblings – Ann Utt and husband Larry, Rose Parker and husband Johnny, Bill Fleming and wife Elaine.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 6 pm in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Ledger officiating. Committal services will be on Saturday at 11 am at the Glenwood Mausoleum. Men of South Bristol UMC will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday following the funeral service at Weaver Funeral Home and other times at 705 Cedar Valley Road, Bristol, TN.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of 4 West and Wellmont Hospice House for all of their care. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to South Bristol UMC at 1809 Southside Ave., Bristol, TN.
