Edith Daphne Churchill Mullins, age 76, of Bristol, VA passed away on April 21, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Portugal Cove, Newfoundland, Canada a daughter to the late William and Nellie Mitchell Churchill. She was a former respiratory therapist at Bristol Memorial Hospital and had also worked as a caregiver. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother Herbert Churchill.

Survivors include: Husband – Charlie “Moon” Mullins

Children – Donald Mullins, Lee Mullins and wife Wanda, Valerie Hamilton and husband Lester, Jill Mullins, David Mullins

13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins

Sister – Gladys Churchill, Olive Churchill

Brother – Eric Churchill

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2 pm at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Gale Flanary and Rev. Jack Stevens officiating. Entombment will follow at the Glenwood Mausoleum. Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 pm at Weaver Funeral Home. The family would like to express a special thanks to Wellmont Hospice House, Lisa Sproles and Margaret Cross for their love, support and care during Mrs. Mullin's illness.
