1958 - March 6, 2009
Ms. Sharon Hill Tabor of Bristol, TN at the age of 50, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. She attended First Baptist Church of Bristol. Sharon was an ETSU graduate and held a masters degree plus forty-five. She taught at Emmett Elementary School in the Sullivan County School System for 23 years. She was loved by all her students and fellow teachers a like.
Sharon was survived by a son, Adam Christopher Tabor of the home; her parents, Billy Jack and Imogene Hill of Bluff City; brother, Randy and wife Sherry Hill of Meadowview, Va.; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and their families and her very special pet dog, Tyson. Special friends - Donna and Jim Huskins, Linda and Darrell Proffitt, Debbie and Argil Jenkins, Sharon Jarret, Mona Jank, and Gary McCrary.
A funeral service will be held 7:00 pm, Monday, March 9, 2009 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Stancil officiating. The committal service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday in the Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel. Pallbearers will be Darrell Proffitt, Argil Jenkins, Jim Huskins, Bert Tagert, Steven Tagert, and Gary McCrary.
Honorary Pallbearers are the remaining THS Football Team and Coaches. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:45 pm Monday evening prior to the service.
A very special thanks to Dr. Swan, Dr. Williams, Dr. McKinney, Dr. and Mrs. Tagert, Dr. Byers, and case workers Susan Earles and Marjory Wilson. The family would like to thank all of the staff on the Select Specialty Floor for their compassion and wonderful care. A special thanks to the Tabor family for their love, support, and care. Many thanks to a special aunt and uncle, Gay and Elmer Woodby. Memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation at 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
