Raymond Kenton Justice, 77, of Bristol, Tenn., died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, at James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mountain Home, Tenn., following an extended illness. Born in Pikeville, Ky., March 28, 1925, a son of the late John E. and Josie Mutter

Justice, he resided in Grundy for 40 years before moving to this area in 1986. Mr. Justice retired from Jewell Coal & Coke Co. in 1977, after 17 years of service. Prior to his employment at Jewell, he was the maintenance supervisor at Grundy Hospital. He was a Baptist and attended Hickory Tree Union Church. Mr. Justice was a life member of the DAV in Kentucky. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater. Four of Mr. Justice's brothers also served in the U.S. Military. A special thank you to Robert Wilson, a member of Volunteer Services at the VA and to the caring doctors and nurses at the VA Medical Center. He was preceded in death by six brothers.

Mr. Justice is survived by is wife of 50 years, Nina Woodard Justice of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Randy Webb of Bluff City; two granddaughters, Andee Jo Webb of Bluff City and Christie Dinger and husband, Brad, of Maryville, Tenn.; one great-granddaughter, Chelsea Dinger of Maryville; two brothers, Clovis Justice of Wooster, Ohio, and Franklin Perry of North Royalton, Ohio; and many friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2002, in Mausoleum Chapel at Glenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Salyer will officiate. Military rites will be accorded by Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975 VFW. Pallbearers will be Brad Dinger, Roman Folkner, Brian Lautzenhiser, Ken Wright, Mike Justice, Rusty Deel, Chris Cable, Stan Keim, Paul Allen Justice and Rocky Keim.

Entombment will follow in Glenwood Mausoleum. Honorary pallbearers will be Nita Keim, Maebelle Calhoun, Pat Anderson, Sharon White, Betty Deel, Adeline Woods, Janice Jones, Diane Cable, Russel Deel, Ken Mathes, Jim Webb, Arthur Darnell, Ed Woodard, C.H. "Bud" Keim and Arthur Woods.

1933 - January 16, 2007
Nina Beatrice Justice, age 74, of Bristol, TN passed away on January 16, 2007 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Tuskeegee, N.C. a daughter to the late Andrew and Mary Guge Woodard.

She had been a resident of Bristol for over 20 years after moving from Buchanan County, VA. Mrs. Justice worked as a nurse prior to her retirement and was a member of Hickory Tree Union Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond K. Justice and two brothers – Don and Ed Woodard.

Survivors include:

Daughter – Deborah J. Webb and husband Randy
Grandchildren – Christie Dinger and husband Brad
Andrea Jo Webb
Great Grandchild – Chelsea Dinger
Sisters – Mabelle Calhoun of Canton, OH, Juanita Kein of Canton, OH

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 11 am at the Glenwood Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Larry Hall and Pastor Heath Largent officiating.
