Philip Sadler born in North Carolina in 1806, homesteaded his family on this land n the Caney Fork River as a young man.
He was married to Mary Jones and after her death, he married Martha Carr Sullins. The Tennesse Legislature approved permission of this marker in honor of his family to be erected in this Family Graveyard in 1982.
