Jerry Allen Hunt, 57, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2012 at his home. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy. He was a 1972 graduate of Soddy-Daisy High School and a graduate of Chattanooga State. Jerry was an electrician and a loyal member of IBEW Local 175 for the past 40 years. He was currently employed with NABCO Electric Company where he was employed the majority of his career. Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Leland and Margie Hunt.
Jerry is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife of 24 years, Becky Swafford Hunt; brothers, Ralph (Sharon) Hunt and Bobby (Darlene) Hunt; sister, Faye (Duke) Berry; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Lynn Swafford; 5 nephews, 2 nieces, 8 great nieces and nephews, 1 great great nephew along with many, many friends.
Services will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Gilbert Eustice and Ricky Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Hunt, Bobby Lawrence, Adrian Berry, Adam Berry, Scott Hunt and Brett Hunt. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
