Ellen Rene Clark Mason, 43, of Hixson, died at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011.
She was a native of Soddy Daisy and attended Soddy Daisy High School. Rene was of the Baptist faith and was a true sun goddess. She was a devoted wife, mother and sugar nana.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Petty Clark; and grandparents, Reece and Helen Petty.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Mike Mason; children, Amber (Mack) Scroggins and Dustin (Jennifer) Mason, all of Hixson; father, Gary (Marion) Clark, of Manchester; brother, Chris (Michelle) Clark, of Chickamauga; grandmother, Pearlie LeCroy, of Soddy Daisy; granddaughters, Victoria and Olivia Scroggins, of Hixson; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ellis Chasteen officiating. She will be laid to rest at Coleman Cemetery with Chris Clark, Taylor Clark, Josh Clark, Mark Cooper, Myron Bush and Jessie Grimes serving as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital in honor of Rene.
