Bennie Ray Sluder, 63, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at his home. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. He was a past employee of Valley Transport where he had worked for 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and loved NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his son; Vance E. Sluder, father; James C. Sluder.
He is survived by his sons; Greg Sluder, Anthony Ray Sluder, Douglas Sluder, mother; Vernon Sluder, brothers; Mickey L. Sluder, James L. Sluder, sisters; Beatrice Fitzgerald, Sandra Hindman, Debbie Roddy, Janie Runyan, 5 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 10, 2007 in the funeral home chapel of Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Painter officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4-9 P.M. Friday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.
