Reba Parton Perkey of Soddy-Daisy died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at her home.
She was 84. She was the widow of William "Tom" Perkey; and the mother of the late Harold Perkey, Donald Perkey, James Perkey, Charles Perkey, Sammy Perkey and Betty Harris.
She was a member of Soddy-Daisy First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Perkey of Soddy-Daisy; four daughters, Juanita Dowdy of Spencer, Ind., Judy Layne of Indianapolis, Ind., Ida Garlet of Terre Haute, Ind., and Barbara Davis of Chattanooga; and four sisters, Vivian Dobbs of Soddy-Daisy, Helen Swafford of Hixson, and Ruby Doyle and Kathleen Johnson, both of Soddy-Daisy; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom MaGee and the Rev. Robert Cothran officiating.
Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery.
Visitation will be today after noon.
