Obit: Betty Huntsman Millard, age 85, of Bristol, TN passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Broadmore Assisted Living.

She was a graduate of Bristol Virginia High School, class of 1949 and a 1953 graduate of Rollins College. She was a former board member of the Salvation Army. Betty was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former deacon, elder and a member of the choir for 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Byron Lee and Maude McElerath Huntsman and her son-in law, Bruce Bales.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert Millard; two daughters, Ginger Millard Cain and husband, Mitch and Scottie Millard Bales; son, Fred Millard, Jr. and wife, Carol; six grandchildren, Robbie Millard, Ann Millard Bennett and husband, Michael;, Amanda Millard, Whitney Cain Luttrell and husband, Brandon, Eric Cain and Jamie Bales and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12, Noon, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Welch officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Winston, Allen Vance, Carl Galliher, Jim White, Ernie Pennington, Harry Piper, John Vann and Lou Phetteplace. A private burial will be in Shelby Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. – 12, Noon, Saturday at the church prior to the service.
