Richard Lee Schwam, 94, died on June 1, 2015. Born on August 16, 1920, in Cordova, his parents were John Henry Schwam and Jennie Poston Schwam who raised him as the youngest of eleven siblings all now deceased. He is survived by many relatives. A member of Cordova Presbyterian Church, Richard loved his dogs and horses and was well known by many as the elderly man frequently seen on horseback in the Cordova vicinity. Special thanks are given to a family friend, Ann Chapman. The family is also appreciative of the care given at Grace Healthcare and Crossroads Hospice. Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, June 8 at Cordova Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, June 8 at the Cordova Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be sent to Cordova Presbyterian Church or the Cordova Community Center.
