*Obituary
Mamie Elizabeth Brown, 85, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center.
A longtime resident of Spring City, Mamie was the daughter of the late Gaither and Ruth Fry Riggs, Sr.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Mamie was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Brown, sisters Hazel and Hattie Riggs and Lillie Mae Cox and brothers Edgar, Johnny, Roy and James Riggs.
Survivors include her sons James Brown of Jamestown, Tennessee, Lee Brown of Minersville, Pennsylvania and Marvin Gore of Benton, Kentucky, daughters Susie Buckner of Evensville and Judy Riggs, brother Gaither Riggs Jr. of Grandview, sisters Mandy Dinkens and Marie Lemons both of Crossville, six grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 4:00 pm at the Ewing Cemetery in Spring City with Rev. James Dunn officiating.
